Australia has hit the headlines for all the good reasons. The country, which has set a target of welcoming at least 1,90,000 immigrants, has successfully accomplished the same. For having set a new record in the immigration history of Australia, the Australian immigration officials and ministers were all in smiles when they confirmed this news to the media.
Briefing more on the same, minister for immigration and border protection, Scott Morrison has said that major number of visas were granted in the skilled stream, which was around 68% of the total immigration.
He has even mentioned that the skilled stream predominantly helps in filling up the skill shortages in Australia in various streams. Giving further details on the break up, he has said that 22 per cent of people who immigrated to Australia in 2013-14 were technicians while 9% of them were managers.
It looks like Australia is not going to stop here and all set to break its own record; obviously a good sign to those who eye Australia.
