Australia and Greece to sign new Work and Holiday Visa

Mr Kyriakos (Akis) Gerontopoulos, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece has announced that the new work and holiday visa, sub-class 462 visa measures between Greece and Australia is likely to be sign in the month of May.

This work and Holiday Visa, Sub-class 462 is made available to younger people who are aged between 18 – 30 years from involving countries who would like to work and travel in Australia up to 12 months. This Work and Holiday Visa is different from a working holiday visa and applicant is required to provide the support of their country government, be or hold studying for a tertiary educational qualification and need to speak proper practical English.

Under this proposed Work and Holiday Visa agreement between Greece and Australia would have a cap of 500 work and holiday visas for each participating country annually.

This Work and Holiday visa from Australia is valid for one year from the date of entry and this visa holder are allowed to enter and exit Australia for any number of times during this valid one year period.

People coming to Australia under this Work and Holiday Visa are permitted to work for 6 months with each employer and can attend 4 months of training or study related activities.
