Australia collects biometrics for all visa applications in Colombia

Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection has announced that the Australian visa application center in Colombia is in the process of gathering biometric information for all visa applications.

However, the current procedure of visa application including the online submission of tourist visa applications will remain the same.

Rather, the government has operated a new visa application center to enhance lodging of additional visa applications, which includes initiation of counter services to organize submission of visa applications and all questions related to it.

The process involves collection of biometric information of all those applying for a visa to travel to Australia in Colombia irrespective of nationality of the applicants.

Colombian visa applicants, who mail their visa applications to the embassy of Australia in Santiago, will receive a letter of instruction to the applicants to visit a nearby visa application center to submit biometrics.
