Australia has topped the latest list of nations that are most sought after as destinations by wealthy Chinese immigrants, who wish to attain permanent residency or overseas citizenship by means of investment, according to Chinese website.
Factors such as investment thresholds and housing prices have been considered to prepare the list .Besides, host countries political system, economic development, social welfare and security are also other included factors.
Over, 25,500 Chinese have attained permanent residency in 2011 through 2012 and approximately 18 percent of them have attained “Green Card” through investment.
China became renowned as the leading source for Investment immigration program of Australia constituting 64 percent through the period. Majority of the Chinese are showing interest to purchase properties in countries such as Spain, Greece and Portugal to attain permanent residency.
