Australian visa holders can travel to Australia without visa label

Australian visa holders can travel and stay in Australia with no visa label stamped in their passport, according to a spokesperson from Department of Immigration and Border Protection’s (DIBP).

Most of the department's services at present do not require exchange of paper documentation physically.

Australian Visas are granted and recorded by electronic means. Besides, all the records of visa are stored on a central database, which allows visa holders, airline staff organizations of Australia to check for details online with the help of a unique identification number.

Issuance of Australian visa is accompanied by a visa grant notification that gives details about visa conditions inclusive of validity period along with entry requirements. Furthermore, the information in the visa grant notification will assist the visa holder to check online status of visa by means of Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) system of the department.
