Canada introduces new tourist visa scheme

In order to attract tourists from India and Brazil, the Canadian government has taken a new method to speed up the application process of tourist visa.

As a part of the program, to decrease the application processing time, the applicants are allowed to apply online instead of visiting the immigration centre.

This Canadian government mainly introduced this program to remove some of the formalities which delays the visa application process and for the criticism it has faced in the past.

It has to be mentioned that previously the applicants had to submit their proof of economy durability which slowed the visa application process. However, this pace has been omitted to speed up the processing time.

Citizens of Brazil and India who have visited the US or Canada at least once with no criminal record are eligible for this new scheme.

The new program is launched with a hope of increase in tourism and trade, by relaxing the visa application process and businessmen would be encouraged for multiple – entry visa where they can attend their business meeting and trade meetings.

If the new program is a success, then there are chances introducing this program for citizens for other countries as well.
