Canada delivers new guidance for Intra Company Transferees

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) have released a new guidance for staff attending to work permit applications for Intra Company Transferees possessing specialized knowledge.

The new regulation has been initiated as part of Canada's Economic Action Plan 20 that will make sure the temporary foreign workers along with Intra Company transferees will not be a drawback to the workers of Canada. 

As per the new rules, specialized knowledge worker has to exhibit knowledge at a higher level of expertise along with proprietary knowledge of the company’s management, techniques, research, equipment, service or product.

Besides, they must show evidence for skills which are extraordinary, expertise which is remarkable within the industry as well as host firm,  knowledge which is important to the business of Canadian branch or proficiency in a specific business process which is not well known over the organization  and not expected to be available in the labor market of Canada.

The new regulations will not apply to applicants from USA and Mexico, who will be governed by old rules.
