The list of finalists for the Airport Food and Beverage Awards (FAB Awards) has been released, with the Christchurch finalist among luminaries.
Airport bars in Ibiza, Dubai, Amsterdam, Chicago and London are contending with the Christchurch Airport bar for an award which will be revealed in Dubai on October 2.
Steve Hagerty, General Manager of HMS Host and the "South Bar and Cafe" states the finalists were informed they are on a "roll-call of quality.".
"That's an excellent location to begin," he says, "however it truly is a big achievement to be recognized as the only Southern Hemisphere finalist. ".
Mr Hagerty says the appeal of bench is simple.
