Guilin, a city in China will begin offering 72-hour visa-free stays for air transit passengers.
Foreign travelers coming into Guilin Liangjiang International Airport, who have a ticket for their onward journey to third destination in under three days of their arrival, will be authorized to stay in the Guilin without acquiring visa before arrival.
Citizens of 51 nations, which include the US, Australia, South Korea, and European Union countries are covered under this scheme.
Guilin, which is a famous tourist destination in China, has direct flight connections to number of regional centers including Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Seoul.
Guilin is now accepted as the ninth city in China to take part in 72-hour visa waiver scheme along with other cities including Chongqing, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Kunming, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Dalian and Shenyang.
