The high level delegation from confederation of Indian industry (CII) is all set to ask on United Kingdom to make a practical and better visa policy in order to create better business interaction between India & UK.
In the recent times, a large number of companies from India are coming more and more to UK they are not only contributing to the economy side of the country but also become one of the biggest employers in UK creating employment to the people of UK.
But, sometimes the companies require employees with specific set of skills for that they need take people from other countries. In regard to this, UK should have a pragmatic and flexible visa regime there should be a mobility of employees with in companies as most of the Indian companies would like to transfer from India.
And also, there are further complications because UK wanted to do away the tier one points based system, as this may affect UK CII office.
Ranjan Mathai, Indian commissioner to UK, echoing the concerns said “it is necessary to make any representations concerning visas through migration advisory committee (MAC)”.
Generally, London has been one of the traditional investment destinations by Indian companies. The relations between India and UK are very strong and at good place. It is evident that, last year UK invested in India more than Japan and USA combined and India also invests more in UK than investment in the rest of Europe combined.
“The Indian government made a number of changes which yielded great results, So, we would also encourage same to do by UK in order to foster strong results” said CII official.
