Child and Youth Affairs Ireland’s Minister, James Reilly visited India to advance the tourism and education sector of the country. On his recent visit to the country, he noted that around 1,800 Indian students are undertaking their higher studies in Ireland top universities. To make Indians stay for long duration in the country, Irelands government has planned to extend the student visa period to one more year to help Indians grab the job opportunity after the successful completion of their studies.
Ireland government has witnessed around 2,000 Indian students during the past three years. However, the country is planning to reach the count of 5000 in the coming months by offering better services and benefits to its students. Apart from this it is planning to provide post study, work permits for a minimum of one year to its students. Fall in Euro value of the country makes more Indian choose Ireland for higher studies, said the Ireland ambassador to India, McLaughlin.
