Indonesia will soon do not require filing visa applications to visit Japan and the other way around as Japan intends to attract additional number of tourists from Southeast Asian nations.
The plan which is expected to start in the next year was brought to the public notice by the officials of Indonesia and Japan in the month of June. However, it was officially announced during the visit of Japan’s Minister of foreign affairs, Fumio Kishida to Indonesia.
Japan holds the place amongst the top five nations as regards to tourist arrivals to Indonesia, with approximately 500,000 Japanese tourist arrivals in the previous year, while the number of Indonesian tourist arrivals in Japan were expected to roughly 140,000 in 2013.
