Jews migrating from France to Israel has increased threefold

Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) has provided a report, according to which there has been a steep rise of immigrants from France to Israel.

854 new immigrants have arrived in Israel during the first two months of this year 2014, while 274 new immigrants have arrived in Israel during the same period in the previous year. This year’s figure reveals a threefold increase when compared to the previous year.

1,917 immigrants of France have arrived in Israel in 2012, while 3,280 new immigrants have arrived in 2013, which shows an increase of 70%.

JAFI stated that there has been a considerable rise in the number of young people of Israel interested to take part in Israel’s experience programs.

An agency program named ‘Bac Bleu Blanc’ is actively encouraging the graduates of high school with the slogan ‘opportunities for life in Israel’. It has resulted in the enrollment of 1,000 students in this program and an  addition of 1,000 students are presently taking part in the educational frameworks by Masa, an organization meant for Jewish young adults.

A fair was organized at Paris during last month. Many Jews participated in it. The representatives of   schools, business organizations, government agencies and housing projects of Israel participated in it to let the Jews know about the benefits of migrating to Israel, immigration programs and options available for these programs, etc.

The plan aims to double the number of Jewish migrants to Israel.
