Kazakhstan lays down simplified visa rules to boost tourism

Kazakhstan has formally put an end to the requirement of a visa for nationals of chosen countries with an effort to attract business travelers and encourage the tourism sector.

The pilot project has come into effect for  duration of one year allowing visa free travel for visitors from 10 nations including  the UK, US, Germany, France,  Malaysia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands. This change in the visa requirement has created excitement among travelers.

Kazakhstan has much to offer to its travelers through tours intended to draw attention to the country’s natural beauty such as lakes, deserts, mountains and space tourism.

Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, approved plans to increase the tourism share in terms of GDP from the current 0.3% to 3% by 2020.
