Kenya ends the visa on arrival scheme

The department of immigration services, Kenya, has launched an online visa application portal from July 1, as a 2 month pilot scheme to provide online visas, with a grace period to purchase visa on arrival till before or on August 31, 2015.

To obtain a single entry tourist visa or transit visa through online, visitors are required to register by going to the website https://www.ecitizen.go.ke/ and upload their passport size photo, with the payment of 21 USD for transit visa and 51 USD for single entry visa.

The applications will process through online, and successfully verified visa will be presented to the immigration officer at their point of entry during the check into the country.
