Malaysia surpasses Singapore with regards to arrivals in Japan

Malaysia surpasses Singapore as the second highest south-east Asian source to Japan ever since the visa requirements were waived for its nationals last year in July.

The number of Malaysians entering Japan has seen a growth of 62.5 percent starting January to July 2014 compared to 2013. While, Thailand holds the first position with regards to the arrivals of its nationals in Japan.

Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is currently working closely with travel trade of Malaysia and has increased its marketing fund by approximately 20 percent compared to 2013 for mutual activities with outbound travel consultants and airlines.

JNTO Singapore acts as host for travel consultant delegates for this year’s Visit Japan Travel Mart beginning 24 September 2014 to 01 October 2014.
