New airports in Northern Australia to boost tourism sector, experts reveal

Northern Australia should have new airports to enhance tourism

Northern Australia’s tourism plans to set up new additional international airports and lesser arrival fees for tourists.

The Federal Government has plans to develop Northern Australia with an aim of attracting two million foreign tourists annually into the region. Joint selection committee of the region is expected to present a report in parliament in the coming month.

Northern Australia is considered to be region with low access and high cost .Also, the region has only two international airports that get international flights. Development of Aviation is also a part of government’s plan to develop the Northern Australia. 

Spokesperson for Trade and Investment Minister, Andrew Robb said that the government had an aspiring plan for trade and investment, which included attracting investment to tourism sector of the region.
