A trusted partner to the Indian embassy in Oman, BLS International LLC has been allotted a contract for redistribution of visas, offering of attestation services and granting of passport from 1 January 2015 in the favor of the Indian Embassy of Muscat, according to a press release.
All Omani citizens and the Indian nationals living in Sultanate have to approach BLS International for outsourcing of visas, passports and for attestation support.
Even though the redistribution contract is taken up by the BLS, attestation, visa and the passport normal fee that is being charged by the Indian government will remain the same. For visa services, the fee levied by them is OMR 1.650, for Attestation Services 550 baiza and for passport related various assistances 450 baiza.
Other services such as biometrics like facial and fingerprint scanning will be done by the BLS international without any additional charges. Few of the locations of BLS collection centers are Salalah, Shinas, and Ibri, Jalan bu Ali, Buraimi, Dibba, Muscat, Sur, Khasab, Sohar and Nizwa.
As per the Indian Embassy of Muscat maximum permissible charge list is as follows- for online form filling of visas OMR 1.000, for attestation services 500 baiza, for lost, birth cases, damaged passports OMR 2.000 and for passports without references OMR 1.000.
According to the embassy’s new release, the levied fees are optional and will be as per the wish of the assistance seeker.
