New IELTS English test for foreign individuals applying to UK visas

British government has newly promulgated few of the major changes to language proficiency testing for decreasing the tests count and for incorporating new changes in visa requirements. In one of the major press release, British Council noted that IELTS, a renowned English language proficiency test that is being used for global immigration and higher education has been accepted as key testament of their competency in English while applying for UK visas.

Few of the concerned offices of the country added that IELTS test is playing a major role in the language skills of individuals willing to immigrate to developed nations like Canada, Australia, New Zealand and UK. As per the new advancements, IELTS exams for UK visa requests will be granted throughout the year around 100 major regions across the world. And the new exam called IELTS Life Skills will be promulgated for individuals who would like to show their listening and speaking skills at levels of A1 as well as B1 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).

It’s further said that IELTS exam is being conducted only in authorized centers of the country which are recommended to follow the rules and regulations specified by United Kingdom government. While lodging the application for test, he or she has to mention that requisite fields of what for test is and test center in which they are going to undertake the exam.     

Individual applying for UK visas can find the list of IELTS exam centers that are being authorized by their government on www.ielts.org. This well-known test is being accepted by around 9,000 organizations across the world. As per the new statistics, it was found that nearly 2.5 million people undertook IELTS exams during the year 2014 in around 140 nations.
