Online help permits visitors to Oman to apply for visa without the requirement of sponsors

In a bid to simplify procedures for travelers who wish to visit the Sultanate, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has brought in a system which allows them to apply for a visa without the requirement for having a local sponsor. For acquiring such visas, applications have to be submitted online.

Speaking to a leading newspaper of the country, an official belonging to the ROP said that the arrangement has been in operating for some time now. Visitors can now make use of the service by logging on to the ROP’s web page.

Nationals of all the countries listed in this respect can make use of this service by which there will no longer be a need for sponsorship in order to apply for a visitor visa. The traveler can easily get the visa online and make use of it as soon as they arrive in Oman. This simplifies the process at points of entry.
