Golden Visa of Greek to come with citizenship

Here’s good news for non-EU investors in Greek. A bill has been passed by the Greek parliament to permit foreign buyers to attain full citizenship in Greece. At present, the Golden visa programme in the nation endows renewable five year citizenship permits to foreign Investors whoever buys property of worth more than €250,000. All the foreign investors are allowed to exist in Greece as long as they possess the property.

The additional advantage of Golden visa scheme is that participants (the new passport holders) will also have an option of gaining full citizenship, after seven years. This scheme has become to be more attractive outlook, particularly for Chinese and Russian investors. So the government of Greek has planned to promote its Golden visa scheme in Middle East too, if approved by the parliament, said Vas Agridhiotis (Greek property specialist).

The golden visa scheme will make Greece more eye-catching to non-EU nationals. Mr Agridhiotis, the authority specialist of Greece further revealed that, as the program needs a financial investment, the program could come into result by the year end.

If the revised program of Golden visa scheme is approved by the Greece parliament, they would even permit the spouses, investor parents and children under 21 to come and reside in Greece.
