Quebec to prolong the request processing time to two months

Good news for overseas investors willing to settle in Quebec province of Canada. Through the new application window programme, individuals can gain the advantage of extension of application processing duration to two months rather than the period of less than a month. This new QIP (Quebec investor programme) will be active from 19 January to 20 March 2015, according to CIC.

The average number of applications figure accepted in the first stage is 1,750 and the cap for each country is 1200. However, after the completion of the first stage requests evaluation, the acceptance will be granted.

This new QIP is considered as a competitive and challenging programme, as there is a cap for application requests. Individuals planning to relocate alone or with their spouse through this special program must possess an average asset worth of CAD 1.6 million.

Apart from this, he or she should possess the proofs of management experience as a full-time worker for a minimum of two years within the past five years and must be able to invest an amount of CAD800, 000 with a financial mediator, to take part in the investor programme and to settle in Quebec.
