New Zealand witnesses increase in the visa issuance number in March

New Zealand has become a popular destination for people across the world, counting expats and students to increase in the issuance level of student, visitor and work visas. 

Visitors to New Zealand have hit the records in March showing up an increase of 15 percent when compared to previous yearand eight percent over 2013.

Notably, 291,800 visitors have entered during the Cricket World Cup and overseas school holidays and Easter when compared to 2014. Tourists from Australia have surged by 13,900 and those from the UK have increased by 3,800 when compared to March 2014. On the other hand, tourists from China have increased by 7,700, and 1,700 have come from India. 

The annual net increase of immigrants also noted a record increase of 56,300 in March this year, an increase of 31,900 in the March 2014 and 2,500 in the March 2013. On a whole, the biggest net increase of overseas nationals in the March 2015 was from India with 12100 and 7,700, from China, 4,900 from the UK and 4,000 from the Philippines. Around three quarters of immigrants from India and half of them from China entered the country on student visas. 

New Zealand had a net gain of 5,000 migrants in March 2015 with constant and average monthly net increase of 4,900 since August 2014.
