Russia to exempt visas for Indian entrepreneurs and travelers

Russia's Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov revealed that the final opinion regarding the relaxation of visas for Indian travelers and businessmen would come into effect at the earliest. This opinion was put under review after the Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to India.

Major discussion on the exemption of visas for entrepreneurs and travelers was done with the top officials of FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry), Denis Manturov said.

According to his statement to Russian Itar-TASS media organization, this discussion of relaxation of visas will happen regularly but the actual process of putting into affect is not yet declared.

Denis Manturov has not announced any details regarding the visa abolition, but has said that the final decision is under purview of Foreign Ministry.

In  the previous month, the Indian government has introduced one of the major e-visa facilities for individuals from 43 nations, along with Russia. And now, this amenity will allow travelers from these nations to apply and pay online for the e-visa and get an Electronic Travel Authorization in a short duration of 72 hours.

Apart from this new partnership strategy, Russian government is also planning to introduce twelve new nuclear reactor centers in India.
