The Interior Ministry (MOI) accepted the ministerial resolution No. 22 for this year, which administers the services, revived visa and fee structure of the naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs sector, which improves the services offered for customers.
The verdict incorporates new visas and entry permits, which include a multi-entry visit visa for business purposes and triggering the entry permits for medical treatments, conferences and study.
The vice-president, Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Dr Rashid Sultan Al Khodr said that the new verdict is aimed at providing integrated, versatile services based on the standards of efficiency, quality and lucidity.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued the ministerial resolution No. 377 for the year 2014 and revised the residency and entry applicable rules for foreigners, Brigadier Dr Al Khodr added.
The authorized changes throw light on the eminent and streamlining of services as well as satisfying social prerequisites and various activities that supports touristic, economic and social aspects.
He said that the restructuring of fees concerned with the services that the sector offers aims to reorganize the entry permit system. The revised structure includes multi-entry for most of the visas, entry visas and residency permits with the suitable fees with regards to the purpose. Moreover, time period of entry permits for short or long term will be determined.
