The UK Home office has announced that beginning from 5th May, 2014, the nationals of Venezuela have to file their applications to acquire visitor visas to visit UK for short durations of 6 months.
Presently, Venezuelan nationals having biometric passports are allowed to enter UK without the necessity of a visa. Moreover, those applicants who are presently staying in UK or those planning to visit UK within the date of implementation do not need require a visa.
According to the new rule, the people planning to visit UK must apply for a visitor visa prior to their travel. Applications can be filed online and supporting documents can be submitted through appointments booked online. The biometric information has to be provided in person at the visa application centre.
The cost of the multiple visit visas to UK would be £83.The applicants looking for visas with longer validity can avail of them for additional charges. According to the Home Office, the visitor visas would be issued in 15 working days.
