UK High Commission announces some changes pertaining to visa processing
On 3rd April, 2014, James Thornton, The High Commission of Britain in Zambia has declared that the newly introduced Visa application Services necessitates the visa applicants to pay an extra amount of 59 British Pounds for service charges. He has also revealed that the embassy has subcontracted Fedex services through Teleperformance, a customer service company, in order to initiate the process of the visa applications in the interest of the embassy.

Mr. Thornton also said that because of the changes made in the visa application, the newly introduced visa priority services would cost an amount of 100 British Pounds additionally.

He also said that through the latest changes, the embassy would aim to process 90% of the visa applications that are not settled within 15 working days and 98% of them within 6 weeks.

He stated that the visa application process would remain the same apart from the new premises of visa application situated at Corporate Park, the newly introduced charges and the priority service.
