Joshi added that more than 2, 50,000 Indians studied in the U.K. within the last ten years and many UK universities were undertaking research with partner institutions. He added that the new catapult centers bring top universities and private sector institutions all together to achieve high-end real-world innovation.
Mr. Joshi stated that the UK has encouraged entrepreneurs through a variety of measures. The most recent initiative called GREAT Tech Rocketships to UK to assist the next generation of fast-growing firms. All five winners were from the South with one from Kochi, stressed Joshi.
