UK Visas and Immigration has launched an advertising campaign with the slogan "Don't get left behind" across Qatar to make sure that the Qataris experience a smooth journey to United Kingdom while using Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW).
EVW authorizes Qataris to visit United Kingdom ‘visa free’ for up to six months. EVW is free of charge and the related form will be available online where one has to fill it at least 48 hours before their travel. Thus, EVW is granted right away through a website and the applicants neither have to offer their biometrics nor hand over their passport before they travel.
The name mentioned in the EVW form must absolutely match with the name in the passport including all punctuation and middle names.
Travelers are advised to ensure that they present accurate details of the flight, date and time of departure according to 24 hour clock along with the final port of departure.
Regional Director for UK Visas and Immigration, Matt Heath, said that this scheme of visa waiver has been successful with the travelers of Qatar. However, few of them have been left out due to simple mistakes committed by them.
Applying for a longer term visa or a multi-entry visitor visa, which lasts for up to ten years, enables more flexibility for frequent travelers.
