UK has geared up to relax the transit visa regulations for easy travelling of passengers who travel by air.
The home secretary, Theresa May has said that travelers who have valid visa for Australia, Canada, New Zealand or US can travel UK without obtaining UK visa even if they mention the countries that they do not intend to tour.
In the present situation travelers must also attain UK visa, while altering flights in the United Kingdom and who don't need to undergo the formalities at UK border control, Direct Airside Transit Visa is required which lasts 24 hours.
Transit visa which is valid for 48 hours must be obtained if the visitor has to cross the border control of the United Kingdom, when leaving the airport.
The cost of the visa would be GBP40 (Dh240), GBP54 and (Dh324). Also, if you want to apply for long term in transit visa if you able to prove that you will be passing through the UK for over a long period.
UK has been criticized a lot of times for its visa rules, as UK is also a part of the European countries which is not in Schengen zone.
UK has dedicated to introduce the Schengen Destination Status Visa, where a large number Chinese will be allowed to some of the best countries to travel Europe- per year to enter UK and then roam the entire Schengen without even holding the UK transit visa.
The new measures are expected to ease around 6m of air travelers to simplify the travel through or to UK.
