US want prospective immigrants to fill online forms

Come October 2, all the applicants-from Philippines- who are looking forward to migrating to the United States of America, will be required to fill an online immigrant visa application form.  The US embassy in Manila has ascertained the same in its note released to the press yesterday. 

The embassy has even posted this information to its blog post https://ceac.state.gov/ceac  and mentioned that all such applicants need to fill up the application forms before they attend the visa interview. 

Also, the blog stressed that applicants who have already got the interview dates, but have not completed the online application forms, are required to complete the form and then reschedule their visa interview. 

It further mentioned that filling up DS-260 would cut down the visa processing time.
