Ng Yen Yen, Malaysia’s Tourism Promotion Board chairman said that Chinese visitors coming to Malaysia by the route of Singapore will be handed visas on arrival. She was hopeful that the travel operators there would grab the chance to utilize Malaysia’s special guideline of handing over visa on arrival to allure more Chinese visitors.
Ng Yen Yen said that there was a direct connection between Chinese arriving and the market in Singapore. In a bid to make more number of travelers come to Malaysia and Singapore, there were efforts going on to develop both these places.
She further went on to say that as Singapore was the closest neighbor to Malaysia, they would want Chinese visitors to first arrive at Singapore before coming to Malaysia. Malaysia is a neighbor-friendly country that has such policies unlike many other nations in the world.
