African ambassadors call for "flexible" visa regulation in India

The African ambassadors have given their views to make the Indian visa regulation flexible for the students and diplomats. Sola Enikanolaiye, the acting of Nigerian High Commissioner had told that nations like, Brazil, South Africa and China have a deal with African nations which help for the hassle-free exemption of visa.

He added that the four-year visa program has been limited for six months for the African students therefore; the students have to go to the Foreign Regional Registration Office, which wastes so many energy and time. Enikanolaiye again claimed the eradication of visa for ambassadors and service passports. He also told that previous they have the same kind of agreement with china, Brazil and South Africa.

General Director of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Mr. C Rajasekhar said that Indian government has already started thinking about this issue. In the month of march Indian council of cultural relation had discussed the issue with All India Council for Technical education, Vice Chancellors, the Human Resources Development Ministry, the UGC, and foreign student advisors of universities as well as some of the ambassadors in a meeting.

Rajasekher had told that the government is going to take some necessary action to make this thing easier as soon as possible.
