The Express Entry System

The Express Entry system administers the pool for all candidates in the three Federal Skilled immigration categories. These are:

• Federal Skilled Trades Class
• The Federal Skilled Worker Class,
• Canadian Experience Class

The successful E.E candidates in the provincial nomination get additional 600 points in the CRS score. This serves as a guarantee to get the invitation from the Canadian Government for applying to seek permanent residence. The CRS rank is based on education, age, skilled work experience, and language proficiency.

The norms here are that the Eligible candidates must obtain a CRS score of 300 and work in an occupation which supports the diversification and, economic development of the province.

Norms for Candidates

Candidates also get a priority when they have a job offer or work experience in the province. They have a good chance to succeed when they have a degree obtained through a Canadian post-secondary institution. Having a parent, child or sibling living in Alberta also offers an advantage.

Candidates should have a profile in the E.E pool to get a consideration in this stream. Such profiles which expire in three months from the draw date will not be considered.

CRS score is 301

There were seven draws in the Express Entry Stream of Alberta, and the successful candidates had the CRS scores of 301.

Finally, on Sep 14 totally 152 E.E candidates received the invitation to apply seeking the provincial nomination. The lowest score in the system in 2018 was 439. The progress of the stream is encouraging in the six months of its existence.
