The Immigration Department has provided top membership body for the Migration Institute of Australia (M.I.A), with evidence that the Skill Select round for the month of Jun 2019 will continue at 100 invitations for the Skilled Independent Stream (Subclass 189) and 10 invitations for the Skilled-Regional (subclass 489) Provisional Family Sponsored stream.
It is in an attempt to maintain the applications pipeline on hand and avoid rising processing times for individuals who have previously invited and appealed for a visa.
Australia Limits Number of Skilled Visas
Immigration moreover notes that the 2019 to 2020 Migration Program limit for the Skilled Independent visa category it includes the subclass 189 New Zealand visa has been decreased to 18,652 positions - a notable drop from past years - which indicates additional management of applications is required to proceed to keep giving invitations for every month in the 2019 to 2020 program year.
Due to the current regional visas being executed in Nov 2019, it seems that Immigration has previously started modifying their workflow processes in order to manage an 'influx' of appeals.
The round of invitation on 11 June is expected to be disappointing for several people, but with the current fiscal year which starts on 1 July hope to observe some positives with the latest monthly invitation quotas and latest State nomination lists.
