In an effect to bolster the country’s economy Australian government has all set to proffer a three-year multiple entry visas for Chinese tourists. The new option grabs the attention of more number of Chinese travelers, said the concerned representatives. It is a known fact that United States proffered a ten-year multiple entry visas for Chinese tourists last year. Now the same initiative is being taken up by the Australian government to lure a more number of Chinese travelers. Concerned sources of the country added that Chinese tourist travelers are moving to Indonesia, and South Korea is not recommended to apply for a visa. In the previous year, Japan has granted 146,000 visas for all the Chinese travelers. Earlier all the prospective applicants of China were asked to hold a valid permit from the concerned officials to obtain a three-year multiple entry visas. But as per the new immigration laws, no guarantee are required to get a visa permit.

The new amendments were made by the Trade and Investment Minister, Andrew Robb at one of the awards ceremony of tourism. Mr. Robb further stated that visitors who arrive in the country through multiple-entry visa play a key role in enhancing the country’s tourism market. As per the new records of the country around 790,000 travelers from China arrived Australia in September after spending nearly 5.4 billion dollars, out of which half of them have arrived in the county through multiple entry visa. The count of Chinese travelers visiting to overseas nations is anticipated to increase to around 200 million by 2020.

Australia is one among other developed nations that grabbed the attention of more Chinese tourists with its modern shopping malls, clean air, fresh food and open spaces. Recently the Australian government has welcomed 124,000 Chinese tourists and has seen a 23% rise in the visa grant count.
