Australian High Commission announces online access for visa applications

The Australian High Commission informed to the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the visa applicants will have online access to the Australia Department of Immigration and Border Protection all through the week.

Thus, there is no need for the applicants to apply either by e-mail or in person and can find many application forms including applications required for both work and study visas.

This new application procedure using internet has come into existence from 9 May 2014.

Upon successful filling of the application, visas are expected to be issued for up to a period of three months. The successful applicants will get a notification either by email or by a specific method. Online system can also be used to check the application status. Individuals who are unable to access the internet or who are not well versed with computer operations can take the help of a third party to apply online.
