Australian-visa-labels-to-end-from-next-month

Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) of Australia announces that labels on Australian visa will not be issued from 1 Sep, 2015 in order to encourage the digital service and to streamline the visa processing.

DIBP says the practice to attain visa labels have often caused unnecessary expenses, inconvenience and delays for the clients and stakeholders. And DIPB considers to offer these services through digitally would be efficient and economical.

The new move is part of department agenda to provide efficient and accessible service to the clients and also make in synchronous with the Australian government digital program.

The technology offers real-time information on a visa to the registered organizations and stakeholders as well as the visa holders through myVEVO mobile app or free online visa entitlement verification.

With this announcement, visa holders can show the evidence that they are authorized to enter into Australia by showing their passport linked with their electronic visa record.

From the next month onwards, this facility will be available as visa holders will no longer required paying and requesting for visa label, and they will be needed to access their electronic visa record through VEVO system.
