BC Express Entry, Skilled Immigration candidates receive the invitation

In the recent draw held on February 12, immigration authorities in British Columbia issued the invitations to candidates of various categories. The beneficiaries were in the EE BC and Skills Immigration streams seeking the provincial nomination. Furthermore, the invitations belonged to Skilled Workers and International Graduates in the Skills Immigration and EE British Columbia streams. Candidates at the Entry Level/Semi-Skilled category of the Skills Immigration Stream also received invitations in this draw which issued 309 invitations.

EEBC stream of the BCPNP has an alignment with the federal Express Entry system. This also assures that the processing time of applications is less. The categories of EEBC stream:

• Skilled Workers and Health Care Professionals

• International Post Graduates and finally,

• International Graduates

Moreover, the eligibility norms for applying to get provincial nomination in this stream, mention that the candidates have to qualify for an economic immigration program in the:

• Express Entry–Federal Skilled Worker,

• Federal Skilled Trades and finally,

• Canadian Experience Class

They also have to meet other requirements like proficiency in a language and settlement funds in Canada.

The EE candidates obtaining the provincial nomination in the stream receive 600 more CRS score points.

This stream of the province has many categories under it with varying requirements for each category. The major categories of the stream are:

• Skilled Worker Category

• International Graduate Category

• Health Care Professional Category

• International Post-Graduate Category and finally,

• Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Category

Additionally, the Candidates belonging to the International Graduates, Skilled Worker, Semi-skilled and Entry Level, categories have to register in the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System.

All the candidates receiving the invitation in Skills Immigration and Express Entry must have a full-time indeterminate, job offer from a local employer. Provincial Programs offer a good option to the potential immigrants to materialize their Canadian dream.
