BC PNP Draw Held on July 23 Issues 191 Invitations to Apply

The British Columbia Government issued 191 invitations to seek the provincial nomination for the candidates belonging to Skills Immigration and Express Entry in the draw held on July 23. The province is famous for its scenic beauty and the economic activities and is dynamic in Canada.

The Details


These invitations were issued through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program in favor of candidates in Skills Immigration in three categories: 

• Skilled Workers, 
• International Graduates, 
• Entry-Level Workers 

Candidates belonging to the Express Entry BC Skilled Workers as well as International Graduate categories received these invitations. The exact breakdown of all these invitations in five categories was not available.

Express Entry in BC categories attracts immigration candidates who have the profile in the federal EE system that manages the candidates’ pool for immigration categories in: 

• Federal Skilled Worker Class, 
• Federal Skilled Trades Class 
• Canadian Experience Class

The Features


Candidates also get the extra 600 points in the CRS Score of Express Entry after they get the nomination approval.

There is a provision for the processing of permanent residence applications, of the candidates in Skills Immigration, receiving the nomination, outside the federal EE system.

All overseas nationals interested in getting the consideration in EEBC or Skills Immigration streams will have to register the online profile with the BC Provincial Nominee Program in the Skills Immigration Registration System. This system is based on points and is used by the province for evaluating the candidates on factors of work experience, education, and language proficiency in French/English. The minimum score in the draw was in the range of 80 to 110 points. 

Minimum Scores


EEBC – Skilled Workers needed a Minimum Score of 110, and EEBC – International Graduates needed a Minimum Score of 105. It was 101 for SI - Skilled Workers and 105 for SI – International Graduates. Finally the SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Workers needed a Minimum Score of 80 only in the July 23 draw.
