BRICS proposals for visa-free regime in member states

A proposal to implement a visa regime and develop youth tourism between the BRICS member states put forth for the first time held BRICS and SCO youth forum have been submitted to Russian foreign ministry.

The new initiative was launched during the forum by Russian Union of youth, which states that a free visa regime will increase the tourism among the BRICS countries that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

We had sent a couple of letters to Sergei Lavrov (Russian foreign minister) while asking them to consider the proposal made by the participants of the forum, said Elena sutormina.

Following the decision taken at the youth forum, the visa-free proposal for all categories of ages will be made.

The BRICS and SCO youth forum was held in the Russian city Ufa from July 26 to 29. Following the discussions in the forum, delegations have submitted proposals to their respective government and ministries.
