British embassy simplifies visa application filing for Filipinos

The British Embassy in Philippines has announced number of improvements pertaining to the procedure of visa processing in the nation, which included the enhanced visa application center in Manila and Cebu City.

The enhancements have been meant to fulfill the rise in demand for UK visa services, which included optional priority visa service that gives back the decision in less than three to five working days, a new center for international visa enquiry and a Prime Time service for those who were not able to be there for appointments in the office hours.

British ambassador to the Philippines, Asif Ahmad said the embassy is willing to welcome additional visitors from Philippines in the next 12 months. Long-term visit visas with validity ranging from one to 10 years will be offered to frequent visitors to UK.

According to the embassy, long-term visas will be governed under same conditions as applicable for regular visit visas with six months validity causing convenience for those travelling out and into UK.

Only one application has to be filed and the biometric information has to be provided only once for the entire period of long-term visa, the embassy added.
