Canada eases visa regime for Romanian nationals

The government of Canada has agreed to facilitate travel conditions for the Romanian nationals. The Federal government agreed to subsume Romania among the other states for which the eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) system will be applied from 2016.

As a result, the nationals of Romania, who over the last ten years, hold the USA temporary visa or a Canadian visa will be able to arrive in the Canadian territory without visa after the registration in the Electronic Travel Authorization system.

This move is a significant stage in the process of visa waiver for the Romanian nationals who visit to Canada. Negotiations related to visa waiver for the Romanians nationals who would like to visit to US are also on track with the American authorities. 

A communist regime in Romania had been denied the nationals of Romania from the privilege to visit abroad.   Citing this Canada decided to ease visa requirements for Romanians.
