In the starting month of this year i.e. January, CIC announced the start of the Express Entry System for managing and processing the applications from the applicants who are seeking the PR in Canada. The PR is granted to those applicants who are skilled immigrants under the economic immigration programs of Canada.
They are Canada Experience program, Federal skilled trades programs and Federal skilled worker program.
This Canada Express Entry system has brought new alterations in the immigration system of Canada, it is the system from where the list of skilled candidates are pooled. The selection of the candidates is basically based on the information which provided by the candidate at the time of submitting the application.
Every time, this Express Entry System has the cut off score, and with the regular draws being conducted by the CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) to select the candidates who have scored the highest points and those selected applicants are invited to apply for the permanent residency in Canada. The selected candidates can stay and work on permanent basis.
The cut off points system is also called as Comprehensive Ranking System, which is used to determine those candidates who are eligible. It provides the predetermined criteria like education, skills, language ability, work experience etc.
The applicants create their profiles on express entry system at the time when many candidates’ profiles are accepted in the pool without any limitations.
Express entry draw is conducted twice in a month by CIC, which determines that the invitations which have been to the applicants are on the basis of cutoff scores and valid job offer by the employer in Canada, skills and work experience of the candidate.
Soon after receiving the invitation, the candidates then file the application for their PR in Canada. For this the candidates are being given two months of time.
CIC takes six months of time to process the application; the applicant profile stays for about 1 year of period in the pool. And if in any case the applicant doesn’t receive invitation in this year period of time, they can again submit the application.
Nominations are offered to some candidates by the federal express entry program, in case of the fulfillment of the requirements like job or work experience.
