CIC announces this year's 1st draw of Canada Express Entry System

The Department of Citizenship and Immigration of Canada (CIC) has conducted this year’s 1st draw of Express Entry System on 6th January 2016. Total 1463 invitations have been issued in this Canada Express Entry 24th Draw.

Total number of invitations of 1463 is being sent to those applicants who were trying to obtain the permanent residency in Canada with the minimum cutoff score of 461 points that is provided by CRS (Comprehensive ranking system).

In the previous 23rd draw for Canada Express Entry, which was announced in last year on 18th December 2015, total 1503 invitations were declared and cutoff score was 460.

There has been increase of one point in this cut off score when compared to the previous draw. But there has been decrease in invitations when compared to the previous draw. 

CIC started this system of Express Entry Draw in the month of January last year for inviting the applicants to apply for the permanent residency in Canada under this Express Entry System.

This Express Entry System also attracts the applicants in different categories of programs like the Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and the Experience Class. 

The candidates who seek permanent residency in Canada needs to submit their profile in the pool of Express Entry. Then they are provided the ranks through the points based system known as CRS. Points are being awarded based on the information in they provide in their profile. The candidates who get high scoring points are granted the invitations to apply for the permanent residency.
