External Affairs Ministry issued a latest advisory for Indian students travelling to US

It has been advised to the students that they should make sure that the US institution in which they are enrolling are legitimate. The students who arrive in the US on the latest F-1 visa are screened thoroughly at the airports and the students are being permitted entry only after they set up their credentials.

Many students are often not allowed to enter into the US due to the student’s inability to explain where they had planned to reside and how they are going to meet their living and tuition expenses. Most of the students won’t get entry into the US as they often say that they had planned to do the part time employment which is not permitted by the law.

In few cases, the documents that are furnished by the students cannot be verified and due to this, they are suspected to be deceptive.

Students are advised to be fully prepared before travelling to the US.
