The authorities of the UK Visa and Immigration have announced a change regarding the Tier 1 exceptional talent visa. It was earlier reserved for persons having exceptional talent in the arts, science, humanities, engineering, medicine, and digital technology. Furthermore it is now also available to Fashion Designers also. Britain presently has a wider plan to attract overseas talents towards Tier 1 exceptional talent visa. Its availability was increased to 2,000 a year.
The tier 1 exceptional talent visa category is difficult to obtain. However, it is easy for some talented people who are able to achieve great results. There is no requirement of a job to apply in this category and the applicant can work for any organization and person. Furthermore, it offers freedom to the migrant when compared to the Tier 2 Visa Category. It is not necessary for an employer to possess a Tier 2 Sponsor License to hire a person in this visa category.
Introduction of new measures
The present expansion of the mode to get Tier 1 exceptional talent visa is coinciding with the introduction of a fresh startup visa, of the Home Office. It will be launched in the Spring 2019, and there will be other noteworthy changes also in the UK immigration legislation.
The qualifying norms for Tier 1 exceptional talent visa are that the applicants must belong to an area outside the European Economic Area plus Switzerland. They must show the potential to make a ground-breaking contribution in their sphere of expertise.
The British Fashion Council under the endorsement domain of Arts Council England will assess the Applications of Fashion Designers. It is one of the five existing bodies involved with endorsing.
