Overseas entrepreneurs who are planning to start a business or want to work in France can now apply for a French startup work visa, under the new visa package called ‘Paris French Tech Ticket’, which will cost around 12,500 to 25,000 Euros per team member. And they will be eligible to get office space for free of cost, and administrative advisor who speaks English and they can also get a quick permit for a residence.
In order to apply for French startup visa, the team needs to have a maximum three co-founders, one must be French who had lived out of France. The visa will be issued at regular intervals. Visas are limited to 500 applicants, about 50 visas are granted in every six months. The process will begin and issued from January 2016.
There are certain terms and conditions set by the French government as the foreign applicant should speak in English and must remain in France for the period of six months or longer. Foreign nationals who are already residing in France can also apply for this visa program. The business that they are going to start should relate to technology and the field must be biotech, digital, medical technology etc.
French government’s initiative of French tech ticket is too similar to the one which was introduced in Chile in the name of Start- up Chile way back in the year 2010. The government also hopes that with this new initiative, it would hold up the entrepreneurs in the country for a longer period of time.
The closing date for to apply the French startup visa is September 15, 2015 for the first 500 applications that were filed will be considered.
