Effective 16th April, 2014, the Immigration Department of Hong Kong has announced that e-channels provided with voice navigation function would be working at the Macau Ferry Terminal (MFT) point of control, intended to assist visually impaired persons to carry out their immigration clearance by self service.

A spokesperson of Immigration department has said that an e-channel with voice navigation function was launched initially at the Control Point of Lok Ma Chau Spur Line in September 2013. Moreover, e-channel with voice navigation function was launched in January 2014 at the Arrival Hall of   LSCCP. There has been a positive response regarding the benefit of this service provided to visually impaired people.
