Ibero America Has A Study Abroad Destination Capital

Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, was just crowned the most happening and desirable study destination for international students in Ibero America, a region that comprises of Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. 2018 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Best Student Cities gave the rank to Buenos Aires and described the city as a place where faded European grandeur merges with Latin passion. The city is famous for its dazzling student community and cultural, sporting, and educational events. Also known as the City of Passions, Buenos Aires welcomed 61,000 international students in 2017 and 1,000 skilled professionals on work visas.

It is one of the most impactful Latin American cities, giving students the chance to discover themselves in a very different environment. Soon, Buenos Aires will be hosting the third youth Olympics. It offers amazing cultural immersion and provides a stage for students looking forward to improving their Spanish-speaking skills. And they get to do all that while experiencing the crazy nightlife, excellent restaurants, and Porteño atmosphere. Buenos Aires is situated on the western shore of the Río de la Plata estuary in the South American southeastern coast. It isn’t part of any province but an district which is autonomous, which allows the local government to go a step ahead and do things to make it more acceptable by international students. 

Study Buenos Aires

The Buenos Aires government launched that Study Buenos Aires program in 2016 in collaboration with 22 private and public universities. It is solely aimed at helping settle in faster and with minimum trouble. Ever since its start, more than 7,000 students have benefitted from the program. They receive a starter kit that includes things they need to survive and travel to Buenos Aires. These include a sim card, subway travel card, hotel discounts, access to Eco-bici, and discounted shuttle into the city center.
